September 4th vs. St. Ignatius, Mentor won 63-56
Wow...what a game. Alexander went 31 for 231 yards and scored 3 TDs. This put him at #2 in the record books at Mentor for rushing yards in a game. But no one talked about him, because Jason Blizzard had 14 receptions for 342 yards - a school record. But no one talked about him, because Tadas Tatarunas passed 25/35 for 523 yards and 4 TDs, shattering the school record for QB passing yards. He is a sophomore. This was his second Varsity game.

The game was tied right until the end until when we got a TD with 8 seconds left.

September 11th vs. St. Xavier, Mentor lost 13-59
Oh the humanity. It should be noted they cheated - 12 men on the field for a blocked punt, late hits, lots of other stuff. However, that might account for 3 TDs...4 at the most. We would have still lost. Alexander did have one TD, but he also got his 14th career loss.
6yd TD run

September 18th vs. Euclid, Mentor won 37-27
Weird game...Euclid was up 19-0 at the end of the first quarter. Then Mentor came back with a vengence. Alexander ran for 221yds on 29 carries, and had 4 receptions and 3 TDs.

October 2nd vs. Solon, Mentor lost 35-42
Alexander ran 18 for 65yds and had 2 TDs. Simply unbelievable. Perhaps the worst Mentor has ever played. Alexander's 15th career lost and the first time I can remember him losing 2 games in the regular season.

October 30th vs. Elyria, Mentor lost 27-24
Perhaps the worst coaching I've ever seen. Absolutely no excuse for this loss. And they only gave Alexander 16 carries. Below is his single TD (he is #10 for this game).

(Playoffs round 1) November 7th vs. Glen Oak (Canton), Mentor won 41-13
Really 41-6, the second string team went in and threw a pick 6. Alexander had 3 TDs on 31 carries for 142 yards. This wasn't a game of big breaks for him (last year they played Glen Oak and he had a 60yd TD run), but he ground it out and fully opened the passing game. Overall, perhaps his most solid performance of the year.

It's all over but the crying. Alexander's 17th loss. He ran well (22 for 127) and had a TD. But in the end, it wasn't enough.
