2014 SEASON INFO

Alexander's team went 9-1 for the regular season. He has now lost 14 games in 10 years of playing (and 4 of those were in his first year). Alexander had 14 TDs for the regular season. He was the second highest scorer, behind Eddie who had 15. However, Alexander didn't play at all during the last game and only for the first drive of the second to last game, so probably would have led the team if he didn't get injured. He averaged 7.4yds/carry during the regular season and had 85 carries for 631yds. In the playoffs, Alexander increased his number of TDs to 16, and had 41 carries for 286yds for an average of 7yds/carry. The Cardinals lost in the reginal semi-finals. September 6th vs. St. Ignatius, Mentor won 37-33
Wow...what a game. Alexander went 18 for 131 yards. Mentor was down 7-9 after the first quarter. No score in the second quarter. Alexander scored twice in the third quarter and ran a 2pt conversion. We were winning 22-9. Then Ignatius came back with three TDs and we were down 22-30. Finally we scored two TDs in the fourth quarter (one with a 2pt conversion) to Ignatius' single field goal.

Alexander went 6 for 47 yards. He scored 1 TD

October 10th vs. Brunswick, Mentor won 21-14
Alexander went 9 for 49 yards - not very good overall, but he had some good runs and his first (real) passing TD for varsity. As a freshman he made many, but other than a shovel pass last year, all of his TDs have been rushing. Ironically, no rushing TDs this game.

Alexander went 12 for 84 yards. He scored 1 TD.

Horrible game. Alexander got hurt in the first series and was out the second quarter and only had the ball twice in the second half. He went 7 for 28. It was his 12th career loss

This was the first round of playoffs and Alexander had a great return to the game. Only one TD, but he ran 14 for 140.
