2013 SEASON INFO

Alexander's team went 9-1 for the regular season. The single loss was his first in 4yrs of football. In the 9yrs he has been playing, he has only lost 11 games (and 4 of those were in his first year).

Alexander got player of the week for his 10th game (against Strongsville).

Alexander had 10 TDs for the regular season, which gives him an average of 1 per game. He was the third highest scorer, behind the other running back (at 12) and the QB (at 14). He averaged 4.7yds/carry.

Alexander has turned it up post-season. Adding in those games has increased his average to 5yd/carry. He also scored 1 TD in post season.

The Cardinals made it to states, but lost 55-52. That gave Alexander his 12th career loss.

They played two quarters of a full game. Alexander only had 4 carries, but each one was good.

Opening game. Alexander was in for every offensive play. He was either a fullback or slot receiver. He had about five running plays - all for positive yardage

September 6th vs. St. Ignatius, Mentor lost 6-26
Sad night. Not only did Mentor lose to a rival, but it was the first game Alexander lost in over 3 seasons of football. While once again, as a sophmore, he was in on every play, Alexander only got 2 carries. A 3yd run and the run below.

September 13th vs. Euclid, Mentor won 36-0

September 20th vs. Twinsburg, Mentor won 49-0
Alexander got 2 TDs. God was on Twinsburg's side because he made it lightening 1 minute into the 3rd quarter and the game was called. It would have been 60 or 70 to nothing otherwise.

September 27th vs. Brush, Mentor won 62-43
Excellent game. Mentor was down 7-28 after the first quarter. We then scored 35 unanswered points and led 42-35 at the half. Alexander got 1 TD (actually 2, but one got called back on a penalty).

October 4th vs. Shaker, Mentor won 56-14
Alexander didn't get the ball that much. His only highlight is a TD run. Actually broken into 2 runs - an 18yd run where he hits a ref and a 12yd run for the TD.

Odd game. The QB had all of the rushing TDs...neither RB scored any. Alexander had a couple of good runs.

Horrible game. 3 Turnovers by Mentor in the first 4 minutes.

Alexander got to carry the ball more than normal, but most runs were short. He did have 2 TDs.

Alexander got 2 TDs which made his average 1 TD/game. He got player of the week for this game.

This was just like the last Brunswick game. The QB had all of the rushing TDs...neither RB scored any. Score was almost the same too.

Alexander's 16th birthday and his best game of the year. Although he didn't have any TDs, he rushed for 96yds and averaged 7.4yds/carry

(Playoff Round 3) November 23th vs. St. Ignatius, Mentor won 26-3
Opposite of last game - Alexander's worst. He only got the ball a handful of times and his longest run was 5yds...so no highlights below. He did have a few good blocks, though.

(Playoff Round 4 - Regional Finals) November 30th vs. St Edwards, Mentor won 41-38
STATES BABY! This was the game to make it to states. Alexander only got 5 carries, but made them count, averaging 9.2yds/carry and scoring on a 25yd run. He also did a fantastic job blocking.

(States) December 7th vs. Moeller, Mentor lost 55-52
Heartbreaking game. Mentor was down by 22 at one point and came back to within 3, but ultimately lost. Alexander only got the ball a few times.
