Sounion (or Sounio) is a peninsula south of Athens that has a temple of Poseidon on it. Amazing sunsets.

A small village. One of the few non-touristy places in Santorini. We had an amazing lunch here.

This was a small, completely non-touristy villiage we visited when we landed in Crete. We asked a lady running a small shop - a meeting place really - to cook some food for us.

These are videos of the first day. A group of musicians walked through the streets singing and playing. A crowd followed them as they went. They made several stops at local shops where food and drink (shots) were placed out (for free) for everyone. Afterwards there was a concert with dancing in the major town square. Of course there was free alcohol (and non-alcoholic drinks for children)

These are videos of the third day. A huge parade (45 "teams" with each team having 100-150 people, lasting for about 3 hours), followed by the burning of the "wining float" from last year, complete with fireworks.
