Alyssa and Torrian's Engagement

Torrian and I met at Bowling Green State University back in 2016. I was with my best friend Ryan when Torrian tried to pick me up outside our student union. I didn't pay Torrian much attention at the time, but Torrian was persistent. He saw me later that same day in the union at the student ID station. He stood in line with me and I eventually gave him my number. We slowly started to talk and from there started to go on dates and eventually vacations (e.g., Vegas, Puerto Rico). I even took Torrian skiing for his first time for his birthday in Michigan, where we got so much snow, Torrian was able to shovel for the first time. We went on a few other trip, including more ski trips, which became our favorite thing to do. I eventually got a job in Kentucky, but Torrian went on to graduate school down in San Antonio to finish his last elgible season for football. We continued to talk, I even travel down to Texas on Valentines to spend time with him. This was the same weekend San Antonio got hit with a historic snow storm. We were snowed in for about 3 days, and my flight was delayed for almost a week. This gave us the opportunity to bond more. Torrian was in Texas for about 6\7 months, but because of COVID and family health issues, Torrian left Texas and moved up to KY with me. A little time afterwards, he officially met my parents. My dad loved Torrian so much that he invited him on a MSC cruise with him and his friends. This was Torrian's first cruise and we enjoyed ourselves. After a few years in KY, and one dog later that Torrian got me for my 28th birthday, I got a job down in North Carolina. Almost half a year there, we found out that we were expecting our baby girl Alayna! For my 30th birthday, we went to Carolina Beach, where Torrian totally surprised me and proposed on the beach. He got friends we made that day to help him and they distracted me while he wrote "Will You Marry Me" in the sand. He picked out the most gorgeous ring all on his own. We got married shortly after on August 16th, 2024 at the courthouse. We will later renew our vowes in Italy, in October, 2025 (pictures to come). I can't wait to see what other adventures are in store!
